Pleasure Island Soccer Association’s Fall 2013 Rec. League completes 7th Week

In the U12 Boys Division Play It Again Sports and Carolina Pediatrics.

• Week 6 October 12th –
• Girls U7 – In the only game of the day Big Apple Bakery and Uncle Vinny’s ended their game in a 2-2 tie. October 17th – Port City Fence won their 4th game of the year 7-2 over Island Montessori.
• Girls U8 – Wilmington Health came from down 2 goals to win 5-2 over Drangonflies. In the 2nd game Ribbet Salon defeated Victory Awards & Trophies by a final score of 3-1. In the last game the Island Gazette dominated the 1st half 3-0, but Signal didn’t give up and scored 3 goals of their own in the 2nd half with these 2 teams ending in a 3-3 tie. October 17th – Signal gave Ribbet there 1st loss of the season putting them both in a tied for 2nd Place with 23-points just 1 point behind the Island Gazette and 1 point in front of Harris Teeter. Harris Teeter pulled to within 2-points of 1st Place and a point of 2nd Place after their 6-0 win over Pleasure Island Rentals.
• Girls U9 –  Masonboro Family was able to stay in 2nd place after their 4-1 win over State Farm – David Ward. In the 2nd game Beach Charms shutout CBHF Engineers 6-0. In the final game Chick-Fil-A was able to stay in 1st Place after their 6-2 win over Kate’s Pancake House.
• Girls U10 – October 15th – Atlantic Towers was able to stay undefeated after their 3-1 win over Pleasure Island Insurance. October 17th – Victory Health and B.A.N.T.A. Fitness each scored several goals in there 5-5 tie. October 17th – Victory Health and B.A.N.T.A. Fitness finished in a 5-5 tie.
• Girls U12 – No Games played this week!
• Girls U14 – Wild Wings Girls was able to remain perfect on their season after their 3-1 win over Feisol Tripods. In the 2nd game Pleasure Island Pirate Voyage picked up their 3rd win of the season 5-3 over Above & Beyond HVAC. In the final game Crossfire and State Farm – Thomas Murphy ended in a 1-1 tie. Brush Dental had a bye.
• Boys U7 – Firebelly pulled 1 game ahead of Wilmington Health in the standings after defeating them 2-0. In the other game Little BWW won there 2nd game of the season 6-0 over Superior Auto.
• Boys U8 – Wilmington Athletic Club was able to remain 1-points out of 1st Place after their 6-3 win over Winchell. In the 2nd game Cranfill, Summer & Herzog improved to 4-2-1 on their season after their 7-5 win over Rent a John. In the final game Tumble Gym was able to stay a top the standings after their 5-2 win over Ruckerjohns.
• Boys U9 – October 15th – Bellhart Marine improved to 2-2 on their season after they defeated Beau Rivage Golf & Resort.
• Boys U10 – October 15th – Wilmington Trolley Co. picked up their 2nd win of the season 6-0 over Uncle Vinny’s. In the other game E2A was able to take over 1st Place after their close 3-2 win over now 2nd Place El Cazador.
• Boys U12 – Coastwalk Real Estate improved to 3-2-1 after their 7-1 win over Carolina Pediatrics. John Byrnes / REALTORS® was able to also improve to 3-2-1 on their season after they defeated 2nd Place Masonboro Family Medicene 6-4. In the 3rd game Wilmington Lawn stayed perfect at 6-0 after their 6-1 win over Play it Again Sports. In the final game State Farm – Jonathan Calhoun was able to stay in 3rd Place after their 6-2 win over Island Montessori.
• Boys U14 – Southport Sharks was able to defeat Buffalo Wild Wings 5-0 to stay in 1st Place. In the other game Shuckin Shack defeated Michael’s Seafood 5-0 moving them into 3rd Place. Krazy Kones had a bye. October 15th – Shuckin Shack impvored to 3-3 on there season after the defeated Krazy Kones 4-2 to move into 3rd Place. In the 2nd game Michael’s Seafood was able to stay in 2nd place after their 8-3 win over Buffalo Wild Wings.
• Week 7 October 19th –
• Girls U7 – Island Montessori won their 2nd game of the season 11-3 over Uncle Vinny’s. In the other game Big Apple Bakery was able to stay undefeated after their 7-3 win over Port City Fence.
• Girls U8 – Drangonflies won their 1st game of the season 4-2 over Pleasure Island Rentals. In the 2nd game The Island Gazette locked up the #1 Seed in the tournament after their 5-0 win over Victory Awards & Trophies. Wilmington Health was able to make sure they made the tournament shuting out the 1st Place teams 4-0 and making them await the results of the Signal vs. Harris Teeter game to see if they made the Top 4 Tournament. This was a must win for Harris Teeter to make the playoffs and a must win for Signal to take the 2nd seed, also a Harris Teeter win would knock Ribbet out of the top 4. It was a hard fought game, but in the end Signal came out on top improving to 5-1-1 on the season with a score of 3-1. This was the most Competitive division in the league with 5 teams separated by 8 points the end of the Regular Season and just 4 with a week left. The tournament is sure to be just as comptitive. 1st Game #1 Seed Island Gazette 5-1-1 vs. the  #4 Seed Ribbet 5-2, meet again Ribbet won the 1st game 2-1, but the Island Gazette was missing 1 of there best. The 2nd Game #2 Seed Sginal is looking for revenge after their 1-point loss to #3 Seed Wilmington Health earlier in the season.
• Girls U9 –  Masonoboro Family Medicene pulled to within 6-points of Chick-FIl-A for 1st Place after their 7-0 shutout over CBHF Engineers. In the 2nd game Chick-Fil-A was able to stay in 1st place after their 8-1 win over State Farm – David Ward. In the final game Kates Pancake House pulled into a tie for 3rd Place with Beach Charms after defeating them 4-1.
• Girls U10 – Atlantic Towers was able to stay perfect at 7-0 on their season after their 502 win over Victory Health.
• Girls U12 – Back after a week break, NRL Builders and Subsurface Support ended in a 3-3 tie. Wethrill Family Dentistry was able to move into 1st Place after their 4-0 shut out over Aftershock. In the 3rd game Fuzzy Peach and Inner Solutions ended their game in a 1-1 tie. In the final game Constructive Solutions was able to stay within 2-points of 1st Place after their 8-3 win over Seahawks Soccer Camps.
• Girls U14 – Feisol Tripods was able to improve to 3-3 on their season after their 2-1 win over Crossfire. In the 2nd game Brush Dental and Pleasure Island Voyage ended in a 2-2 tie. In the final game State Farm Thomas Murphy and Above & Beyond HVAC also ended in a 4-4 tie. Wild Wings Girls had a bye.
• Boys U7 – Superior Auto was able to pick up a close 2-1 win over Bouncin Party Rentals for their 1st win of the season. In the 2nd game Fire Belly improved to 6-1 after their 5-2 win over Little BWW. Wilmington Health had a bye. Fire Belly needs just 1 more win to take 1st Place in the Regular Season.
• Boys U8 – Wilmington Athletic Club was able to stay in 2nd Place after their 2-1 win over Rent A Johns.  In the 2nd game Winchell Marine picked up their 2nd win of the season 8-4 over Ruckerjohns. In the 3rd game Tumble Gym was able to win the game 4-2 over 3rd Place Cranfill, Summer, Herzog, but they also locked up 1st Place in the Regular Season. Beau Rivage Golf & Resort and Rucker Johns had a scrimmage game.
• Boys U9 – Bell Hart Marine caught up to 1st Place after their 4-1 win over Kidsville News. Beau Rivage Golf & Resort and Rucker Johns played a scrimmage game.
• Boys U10 – With just 2 weeks remaining E2A was able to pull to within 5-points of 1st Place after their 3-2 win over Wilmington Trolley Co. In the 2nd Game El Cazador defeated Uncle Vinny’s 6-1 to stay in 1st Place.
• Boys U12 – Play It Again Sports won their 2nd game of the season 4-1 over Carolina Pediatrics. In the 2nd game Coastwalk was able to stay in 3rd Place after defeating State Farm – Jonathan Calhoun 6-4. The other 2 games in this division were rescheduled for Tuesday Night.
• Boys U14 – Shuckin Shack improved to 4-3 after their 6-1 win over Buffalo Wild Wings. In the other game Krazy Kones improved to 3-3 after they defeated 1st Place Southport Sharks.
