Pleasure Island Soccer Association’s Fall 2013 Rec. League comes to a End

Lisa Grogan is the coach of U5 Island Time Drop In & Play.

The Girls U7 Champs Big Apple Bakery had a impressive record of 8-0-1.

In the Boys U9 Bellhart Marine finished with a 4-2 Record and took 2nd.

Atlantic Towers won the Girls U10 Division with a perfect 9-0 Record.

The Girls U8 Division saw the Island Gazette finsih 1st in the Regular Season and 4th in the Tournament.

The Girls U10 Division’s Uncle Vinny’s.

The Girls U8 Division’s WIlmington Health finished 3rd in both the Regular Season and the Tournament.

• Week 9 November 2nd –
• Girls U7 – Port City Fence closed out their season with a 6-3 record after defeating Island Montessori School 5-4. In the last game Big Apple Bakery was able to finish their season without a loss at 8-0-1 after beating Uncle Vinny’s 6-0.
• Girls U8 Tournament – In the game to decide 7th Place Pleasure Island Rentals won their 1st game of the season 3-2 over Victory Awards & Trophies. In the 2nd game for 5th Place Harris Teeter defeated Dragonflies 4-2. In the game for 3rd Place Wilmington Health got the winning goal in double over time against the #1 Seed Island Gazette. In the Championship Game #4 Seed Ribbet (who barely made the tournament for the top 4) was able to defeat Signal 4-1 to take the trophy.
• Girls U9 –  Kate’s Pancake House ended their season with a 6-4 record after defeating CBHF Engineers 4-0. In the 2nd game Beach Charms and State Farm – David Ward ended in a 2-2 tie. In the final game Chick-Fil-A suffered their 1st loss of the season 2-1 against Masonboro Family Medicine but still took 1st Place in the Season.
• Girls U10 – B.A.N.T.A. Fitness was able to improve their record to 3-5-1 on the season after their 4-2 win over Victory Health. In the 2nd game Atlantic Towers closed out their season perfect at 9-0 after beating Pleasure Island Insurance 9-1.
• Girls U12 Tournament – The battle for 7th Place ended in a 5-5 tie between Fuzzy Peach and Inner Solutions. In the game to decide 5th Place Constructive Building Solutions was able to walk away with the 5-0 win over Subsurface Support. In the battle for 3rd Place NRL Builders was able to win a close game against Seahawks Soccer Camps 3-2. In the Championship Game #3 See Aftershock was able to upset the #1 Seed Wetherill Family Dentisrty in a close game 2-1.
• Girls U14 Tournament – In the 1st Game to decide 5th Place Feisol Tripods was able to walk away with the win 2-0 over Above & Beyond HVAC. In the next game to decide 3rd Place State Farm Thomas Murphy won a close game against Crossfire 2-1. In the final game for the Trophy Wild Wings Girls ended their season perfect with 8 wins after defeating Brush Dental 4-0.
• Boys U7 – In a close game Bouncin Party Rentals was able to close out their Regular Season with a 6-5 win against Little BWW giving them a 4-4 record. In the 2nd game Wilmington Health was playing to hold on to 2nd Place and they did just that after defeating Superior Auto 8-0.
• Boys U8  - The 1st game to decide 3rd and 4th Place ended in a 3-3 tie between Tublegym and Rent A John. In the 2nd game to decide 5th and 6th Place it also ended in a tie 0-0 between Cranfill, Summer, Herzog and Winchell Marine. In the Championship Game the #2 Seed Wilmington Athletic Club was able to take the win 4-1 over Rucker John’s.
• Boys U9 – 1st Place in this Division was decided last week and the battle for 2nd Place was decided last week also. Bellhart Marine was able to close out their Regular Season in 2nd Place with a 4-2 record after defeating Neau Rivage Golf & Resort 5-2.
• Boys U10 – In the 1st Game Wilmington Trolley was able to take 3rd Place after their 6-3 win over Uncle Vinny’s. In the 2nd game El Cazador was able to take the Trophy after their 5-0 win over E2A.
• Boys U12 Tournament – In the 1st Game Play It Again Sport was able to take 7th Place after their 2-1 win over Carolina Pediatrics. In the 2nd Game State Farm – Jonathan Calhoun was able to take 5th Place in the tournament after they defeated Island Montessori School 8-1. In the 3rd Game for 3rd Place it ended in a 4-4 tie between Coastwalk Real Estate and John Byrnes / REALTOR®. In the Championship Game Wilmington Lawn took the trophy after defeating Masonboro Family Medicine 9-1.
• Boys U14 – In the 1st game Shuckin Shack and Southport Sharks closed out their season with a 4-4 tie. In the final game Michael’s Seafood was able to take 1st Place with a 5-2 record after defeating Krazy Kones 2-1.
